One of Karl Lagerfeld’s many projects, Fendi has showcased his more youthful, playful designs. The Spring/Summer 2014 collection was inspired by information technology. Tech elements like tessellations that looked like contemporary houndstooth and prints resembling the insides of a computer chip made up the visual thread that tied the show together. Piecework, layering, and color blocking with organza, leather and plastic also reoccurred throughout the show. The looks were almost entirely separates, mostly short skirts and dresses with light coats, but the patterns and techniques used generated enough interest to make the collection truly timeless.
