Eataipei Experimental Tasting Menu

To celebrate Taipei as the World Design Capital of 2016, multi-disciplinary designer Shikai Tseng teamed up with an architect Rain Wu and a chef Chungho-Ho Tsai for a series of culinary performances that were filmed and shot, showcasing local specialties in an exquisitely neat way.

An experimental menu of five dishes was aimed to let the audience explore the landscape of Taipei via four senses – taste, sound, smell and touch. A follow-up to the project will be presented at this year’s London Design Biennale, running from September 7th. Called Eatopia, the events will explore the richness of Taiwan’s mixed cultural heritage through a diverse presentation of contemporary Taiwanese cuisine, design and architecture.
