Cymbals: No Bad Decisions

      1. No Bad Decisions

In an eighties electronic waltz, Cymbals drop their pop single in the most upright British fashion from their new EP, Sideways, Sometimes (Tough Love). Recorded and produced over the course of five days, the pop material is reminiscent of early Four Tet and squeaks of Vampire Weekend (White Sky) and I do I daresay Prince. The ‘downtown disco’ quattro hit high emotions with ascending vocals over a euphoric background of dream tinges, tight drums and sharp guitar. On tour this month throughout the U.K., Cymbals is out to strike a chord with more than British electropoppers, but with anyone who taps into the electro waves which revisit the roots of beat culture circa 1985.
