As hemlines slowly migrate downwards at Christopher Kane, this season’s garden party evolved into a literal botanical study.
A series of teardrop cutouts graced the opening looks, in simple black and metallic techno brocade, paving the way for glimmering cocktail dresses, lasercuts, and a palette of pearly pastels, pistachio and champagne nudes. Cuts ranged from straight to against the body, satin felt fresh, and the overall luxe lightness for Spring/Summer 2014 reflected in a to die for, seemingly hand spray painted finish.
