This collection was a stunner this morning at Paris Fashion Week! Chloe is a sure pioneer of not just French fashion but also adored by international audiences, it is a household name that is know as groundbreaking for classic silhouettes and tailoring. Everything about this show was clean cut, yet different from previous seasons, where the layering has been stripped down to reveal a rawness of design. Whereas last fall we saw Chloe padding up with quilting and exaggerated silhouettes, this season is a muted more subtle version of the chloe we know and love, hinting at a mature, sophisticated route being pathed by the brand.
The collection may seem professional and structured but don’t be fooled just yet, Clare Waight Keller gives the crowds something to talk about with exquisite full fur jackets and satin jumpsuits, as well as jewelled fish netting overlays, that will have the buyers along with editors jumping to the ceilings for joy. I will be joining them, with plenty of praise for this French power house ,as yet another inspiring collection this year. Written by Amy Tuckett
