Carlos Scarpa’s Last Masterpiece

Legendary Italian architect Carlos Scarpa’s last masterpiece before he died in 1978 was this impressively modern and geometric cemetery for the Brion Family.

Located in the Veneto region of Italy, the cemetery features japanese gardens, beautiful stone structures, and clean lines. The stone and copper structures are characteristic of his style, which besides the added Japanese components, is filled with architectural fragments. Carlo Scarpa is also buried in the cemetery.
