With everyone going modern, sleek, and sporty this Spring 2012, Burberry Prorsum is running in the totally opposite direction. Why? Because it can. Choosing to “celebrate things that take time to do”, Creative Director Christopher Bailey turned out one of the most memorable lineups of LFW – detailed with handcrafted natural wood toggles, crocheted raffia, basket-weave knits, and rich prints.
And despite being a season for sun, Burberry—the brand that made the trench, the aviator, and the motorcycle jacket sexy—pushes out its new and improved take on the parka, the notable standout piece in the safari-inspired collection. And just in case you weren’t wowed enough, the show was topped off by a shower of confetti, as Jourdan Dunn led the fashion finale.
