People have been whispering about Berlin bubbling up as the creative hub for years. And now, we have proof.
Berlin What? is a weighty tome, with over 500 works by 102 artists who claim Berlin as their home base. Referred to as “a book, an exhibition tour, and a love of labor,” by its two editors, Uwe Neu and Oliver Thoben, Berlin What? was actually three years in the making.
It started as a contemporary art gallery called Neonchocolate in 2010. This led to over 100 exhibitions, multiple collaborations, art events, auctions, and now, the long-awaited book you see here.
