Tinos is a Greek island in the Aegean Sea famous for its windmills and dovecotes. Amid this serenity stands the home of Greek interior decorator Marilyn Katsaris, who appointed her home with the most minimal of touches. Letting the structure by Zege Architects do the talking, she adorned the plaster walls and bleached floors with Moroccan rugs, distressed wood and sapphire bottles. Books and dinnerware become design elements in the absence of cupboards, storage units or drawers. Everything is airy and exposed.
