In 2006 Benoit Cabanes and Laurent Vallee created Studio Mixture, a studio as they say, for photos and videos. But it goes a bit deeper than that.
The two frenchmen brought to life a studio for a niche audience: the lovers of fine, still life, food photography. Throughout these years, their work evolved to even more conceptual, absent from space or time; just contemporary placement and the food’s very essence.
The duo, though, provides material from behind the scenes as well. Shots from single product during almost every stage of their preparation for their premier in front of the lens in equally mesmerizing fashion.
