With a gorgeous editorial design, this limited edition 200 page reference book is only about vintage 35mm cameras and 35mm photography – Hand-finished in ILOTT studio in a limited edition of 35 copies (and $24 only!). The ILOTT Vintage project started back in 2010 as a resource for select 35mm rangefinder cameras and how to use them.
The book was designed by their Creative Director Andrew Bellamy. Andrew has been a member of the International Society of Typographic Designers for over 12 years, and is a member of the New York chapters of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) and the Type Directors Club (TDC). He has worked in London, Oslo and Miami and currently resides in New York City.
“If you have found an old Canon in the attic, a Konica at the thrift store or inherited a Leica, this book provides all the information you need to help you understand your 35mm film camera and to get out and start using it again.”
The illustration style was inspired by mid-century camera manuals that were typically printed one or two colour. Traditional pattern fills are used to create tone rather than gradients, adding to the period feel. One color print throughout, black ink on cream paper.
