Fashion designer Yvan Mispelaere has worked for some of the biggest fashion houses in the world, including Valentino, Prada, Chloe and Diane Von Furstenberg, but today we will explore his creative work in his very own stunning Parisian loft. The New York-based star designer has completely revamped what was previously an ethereal circus-training space into a chic and lively, loft-like apartment.
Mispelaere has created a space which mirrors the way he designs clothing; with special attention to proportion, colour and detail, resulting in an intriguing and exuberant interior, filled with art pieces and brass accents.
The apartment is located between the Gare de l’Est and the thriving scene of the Canal Saint-Martin, which has always been a popular destination for art workshops. The buzzing neighborhood is known to be in constant transition, which according to Yvan, is a continuous source of inspiration for him. The interiors are the result of collaboration with his close friend, the architect Stéphane Ghestem.
