Wawi Navarroza, a Manila-based visual artist and photographer, explores on her series Dominion the tension between natural landscapes and the human presence with a startling outcome.
With a touch of science fiction-ish visual cues, the artist juxtaposes untouched sceneries with a simple, but effective, cloth. Each photo plays off against the former, some are based around the intrusion of the foreign object while others exposes beauty on its own symmetric accord; thus building a quasi-narrative travelling from the domestic restrictions of a house to the boundless outer space.
