Menswear label Vidur (Icelandic for wood) gives a much needed boost to current garb. Their manifesto is to create elemental, functional, and enduring clothes. Using utilitarian fabrics such as waterproof, densely woven waxed cotton, makes this collection a must have for men fall/winter 2013/2014 and well, myself. Clean surface, layering ability, durability of cloth, practicality of design, and generously cut garments in subdued colors of ash, black, forest green and navy, almost make me wish the cold season lasted all year, just so I could wear the overcoats and drop crotch sweats with some shiny accessories. Guys, get prepared for Vidur to set the new precedent of hem variations, shirt tails, and slouchy relaxed lines.
