The team behind the Le Tigre food truck in Vancouver just opened their restaurant on the boarder of historical Chinatown neighborhood; Torafuku invites you to experience simple, yet adventurous interpretations of pan Asian flavors.
The husband and wife architects of Scott & Scottcreated the of 49 seat dining room floating in the middle of a minimalist open space with as cast concrete elements, tubular steel, canvas tarpaulin benches with stitched harness grade waxed leather and denim batt acoustic panels most of which are intentionally of the lowest grade available where the cost reflects durability and not refinement.
The furniture was handmade by the architects Scott & Scott in their self-designed Vancouver studio.
The chefs’ will use the space as both a restaurant and a commissary for their food truck. The menu is an expansion of the Pan Asian dishes which they have been offering throughout the city.
