Ever been to Foster City, California? Neither have we. But we’re thinking of taking a trip, if for no other reason than to take a stroll through Techshed‘s totally kick-ass office space. Designed by Garcia Tamjidi for the home improvement marketplace, it is meant to be an open and collaborative work environment with plenty of work benches, spaces for meetings, meditation, play and private phone calls. Techshed’s brand is reflected in the punches of brand color and also in the plywood sheds that house meeting and meditation rooms. Feature’s like power-ready, standing height counters and floor-to-ceiling whiteboards are intended to make meetings and exchanges run more efficiently. The design also provides a gated personal storage area to encourage a bicycle commuting culture. An open Café with a robust audio visual system doubles as a meeting and presentation space. Not sure about you, but we are a bit jealous of this work space.
