If you guys are looking for some good shirts which are different from what’s out there, then don’t look further! The French brand Sidian, Ersatz & Vanes came up with an amazingly well-cut and original shirt collection. Still not too known in the US, so you can be (almost) sure you wont run into anyone wearing it, but the brand is growing quivkly so it may not be for long. I have couple of these and always get great compliments on them. Also love their cool gif animated lookbook!
Color, reductionism and continual journey through abstraction are central to Oskar Sidian, Mr Ersatz and Isaac Vanes. This collection, their focus has turned to the representation of elemental metals
By the very nature of Sidian, Ersatz & Vanes, seasonal change is more about the advancement and refinement of product and ideas rather than the search for novelty.
The custom woven, seamless colour block fabric remains a signature to SE&V shirts. This season it is employed to show the reflective surface of chrome, the ridges of the iconic tin can and molten red iron ore. To compliment these three central designs, blocked stripes have been interpreted, as well as our perennial chambray.
The transitional nature of the elements is further shown through the presentation of an animated lookbook, where each new design has the added dimension of its existence in time alongside the two dimensional space of the woven surfaces.
With regards to the shirts themselves, care has been taken to ensure full single needle construction, real mother of pearl buttons throughout with no synthetic fusing.
