The minimalist house in Zurich by Think Architecture is an example of a building harmoniously blending in the surrounding space. In fact, it appears an an intrinsic part of the landscape comprising of the nearby forest and lake Zurich.
The monumental concrete facade gives a sense of entering a temple. Still, it is elegant and unassuming, connecting the interiors with the exterior. With every single room offering an access to the park, nature complements sleek surfaces sculpted in marble, terrazzo, grey stone and oak. The central atrium allows the light to flood the rooms and accentuate their smooth, serene feel. Spreading across two levels, the upper floor marks a living space while the basement is a designated wellness area, featuring an indoor pool.
