Henrietta Harris is an Auckland-based artist and illustrator. She meticulously hand-draws detailed portraits, landscapes, and still life which have appeared in shows all over New Zealand, Australia, London and New York.The almost surreal quality of her drawings and paintings often involve a departure into the unknown with faces sometimes obscured and misplaced by the clean sweep of a brush stroke. As if one could become lost in time or memory, the portraits symbolize the ethereal world of dreams and the fluidity of time.
