Brazilian architect Fernanda Marques has installed a stunning glass-walled swimming pool in the garden of a duplex apartment in São Paulo’s upscale residential neighborhood of Villa Nova Conceição. The pool may be just one element of her design for the 477 Square meters ground and lower ground floor flat in a 1990s block; but it’s a crucial one.
The duplex flat boasts a soaring double-height living room that is essentially flanked by glass walls on three sides, one of which reveals the side of a long, narrow swimming pool placed outside. Thick glass walls act as a showcase for the inside of the pool, which the clients were keen on incorporating into their living area. It can be accessed from the second floor or through the garden.
