Patricia Trieb is a Brooklyn-based artist and painter reflection on the world of objects. In fact, they are the major inspiration lurking behind her abstract artworks which investigate the relations between them – their place in space and time.
Reminiscent of well-rehearsed improvisations, the paintings are composed of multicolor brush strokes, each creating a slightly different yet interesting texture. The motifs in Treib’s works reappear again and again. There are clocks, clothes, a camera. Just as if the artist aimed to confront the audience with the essential question that seems to constantly posed in her practice – how do we feel about the passing time?
