Wildernesse Restaurant by Morris+Company is located in a newly designed pavilion complementing an old country estate in Sevenoaks. Glazed openings connect the interior with the historic surroundings, offering a sense of harmony between the modern and the past.
Designed to provide multiple uses, the restaurant can transition form a breakfast dining room into a whisky bar. Many communal spaces were conceived inside to encourage natural interactions while the terrace with a sitting area allows to appreciate the landscape. Inside, arched bays, columns and timber wood were juxtaposed with contemporary insets of terrazzo and granite. A feeling of openness and accessibility was maintained with flush thresholds and large windows that again accentuate that Wildernesse is a place designed for shared experiences.
