Industrial designer Matthew Hilton photographed his furniture at Landguard Fort in Felixtowe, a historic location, exploding with character. Master of his own craft, Hilton’s hand is present throughout the entire process from conception to photography. Talented in the field of photography, the designer carefully chooses his locations and accessories to create settings that are both easy to relate to and non-specific. He describes his approach thus, “I do not want to prescribe the way my furniture is seen. The locations I choose show a vague sense of domesticity but also a very strong aesthetic which hopefully allows freer interpretation.”
