Found in Madrid’s historical centre, the recently redesigned Los Austrias Chemist is a modernist re imagining of the 21st century pharmacy. By using perfectly considered colour typology Stone Designs studio has managed to create an engaging alternative to the often sterile experience of shopping for pharmaceuticals.
The airy layout features colourful metal frames each displaying items of corresponding color schemes. The displays shift gradually from striking pink to bright yellow as customers walk through the different sections.
Located under an old bridge, the shop has arched ceilings and a tiled floor that create an interesting counterpoint to the modernist design of the interiors.
