Heng Jih in 1989 is a brunch restaurant in Taiwan and its name means ‘forever sunny’ in Mandarin. No surprise that light is so important in this minimal space. French glass windows allow the sun to shine through the restaurant, where simple, plywood furnishings, white walls and concrete floors carry a raw, industrial feel.
Complemented with steel works and wild, botanical insets of sword fern, the concept was developed by a local firm, T.M Design Studio.
