Looking at Li Han‘s work, my first thought was that he was probably a 90’s kid. Who else would remember the time when computer graphics were flat and pixelated? And in such detail?
Then I found out the Beijing-based artist was actually trained in architecture. But unlike the matter-of-fact AutoCAD and blueprints we usually associate with buildings, Han creates entire Sims-like cities and landscapes (Tiny Salt Bar, Lugas PhoPho pub, Old Factory Pizzeria) of real life places with seemingly real life scenarios.
