Spanish artist Joseba Eskubi works with soft, amorphic and organic forms in a universe of decay and his paintings appear in a surrealistic world. His work is often a single organic figure filled with dark secrets, movements and metamorphoses, overflowing with tensions from the abyss. His works are created with mixed media (oil painting, acrylic, plasticine, photography).
Eskubi process is fast and intuitive, generated directly on the fabric. His work produces an obsessive effect, as absurd and indomitable where seriable and repetitive structure expands the body of painting.
In other works, Joseba Eskubi uses classical references, which transforms and manipulates until decontextualized and create a new meaning. They are a series of collages where an internal transformation of the painting process occurs. Each element can be altered as something alive and open on a continuous metamorphosis, overlapping planes that make a geography of interference and collisions.
