Located in Marbella, on the Mediterranean coast of Spain lies the Jellyfish House, a three-story concrete residence designed by Weil Arets Architects. The projects’ most striking and defining feature is the rooftop swimming pool that is cantilevered toward the Sierra Blanca mountains. Equipped with an infinity edge, the pool water seamlessly merges with the sea in the distance. The pool also has a glass bottom and an expansive panoramic window at its interior facing edge; allowing those in the kitchen below to observe those swimming above.

Other luxurious features include a kitchen service elevator that can serve food and drinks to the pool, a sauna room and first-grade audio equipment. The aesthetic beauty of the pool becomes apparent as the sun delivers rippled turquoise reflections that shimmer right throughout the house. The fluid movement of the water combined with the diffusion of natural light promotes a sense of calming energy and reinvigoration. Living here would be like being on an everlasting vacation; it is the perfect retreat from those hot Spanish summer days.
