The Hollander hotel in Chicago is a new design and social space, where visitors are encouraged to connect with each other before arrival via Instagram. The interior, conceived by French studio Delordinaire, allows guests to cross their paths and interact. Laundromat is located right next to the reception where one can enjoy a coffee while waiting for laundry. There is also a bike hire service available.
Furnished with custom designed furniture and lighting, the space features concrete floors and walls, finished with plywood panels, bricks, neon lamps and steel elements of the decor. The overall effect is simple, sleek and industrial – a nod to Chicago’s past.
