Gary Stephan: Paradoxical Views

Gary Stephan‘s acrylic paintings range from irregular, sensitive brushstrokes to very austere, geometric shapes.

Stephan’s work distinguishes itself by presenting unique color palettes and a certain type of precision. While his brushstrokes appear purposeful and well measured, an unexpected shape appears to make you take a second look.

Gary Stephan has a current show on view at George Lawson Gallery in San Francisco running through May 2.
