Cologne design studio Dua Collection’s “Like Paper” lamp collection seems to be made out of folded paper, but are actually concrete. Designers Miriam Aust and Sebastian Amelung master the material in the handcrafted lampshades, each piece unique with its own edges, folds and wrinkles to create a play of lights and shadows from their sculptural volumes. Interfering with our perception of the material, we look for more of this sort of interactive product design in the months to come.
