David Gill “once turned down a request to photograph an elderly lady’s arm for an insurance claim, which had come via the yellow pages. He has regretted this ever since.”
It’s a good thing the London-based photographer has a lot of other images we can fawn over. When he’s not working on commissions for Christies, Harrods, or Weetabix, his camera is focused on some pretty random objects: a pig head, a doll head, sauce bottles, and superhero masks. But it’s David’s matter-of-fact style and ability to bring out every shine and shadow that make even the everyday object completely eye-catching.
