Young fashion designer from Brooklyn, Cristina Tompkins recently introduced her Spring/Summer 2019 Thesis Collection. Inspired by protective wear, using thick material like canvas, fireproof nomex from fireman’s suits, and knits, it is very refreshing to see something new in fashion that is not boring or copied from other designers!
For her Pratt Institute thesis collection, Cristina emphasis on adjustability, mobility, and silhouettes that give the wearer a sense of a protective bubble. We love it! Be sure to keep an eye on her and her future moves.
