Melbourne-based Figureground Architecture designed Industry Beans, a coffee shop and roastery within an existing factory shell. Using their experience in landscape and urban design, they included pivoting panels to keep the sun in or outβthe better to deal with Australia‘s heat waves. Pallets, plywood and a high ceiling allow the air to circulate. Speaking of, we can imagine how nice the waft must be when those giant windows are flung wide open.
