For the Greek photographer Petros Koublis, photography is about how the world feels, rather than what it looks like. Koublis treats photography like painting, and the motif of Impressionism can be sometimes found within his work. His latest landscape series Selene, captures the world as a celestial body, creating watercolor-like images of this planet.
The concept of this series is the connection between space and nature. ‘This infinite space becomes realized every time our mind gently gives way to a peaceful silence.’ says Koublis. The photographer spent his childhood within the beautiful Grecian countryside, in which he developed his own philosophy of viewing the landscape and sensing the world.
