Miami modern design meets Asian tropical bespoke design. Envisioned by revered filmmaker Alejandro Landes (known for his award-winning film, Porfirio), Casa Bahia is sits right on a private Coconut Grove peninsula with breathtaking views of Miami’s downtown skyline and bay.
Covering 20,000 square feet, the timeless and modern hand-made aesthetic of the home spotlights raw exposed materials, including concrete exoskeleton, teak, glass and white stucco with gravity-defying staircases, cantilevered sinks and balconies.
Casa Bahia offers a seamless indoor and outdoor living experience starting with a reclaimed revolving wood trellis that serves as the front door leading to the outdoor foyer made up of reflecting ponds and natural sea breezes while also boasting waterfront spa bathrooms and an expansive rooftop.
• All interior-designs are bespoke and hand-crafted by Landes’ mother, Catalina Echavarria (CEU Studio), an award-winning interior designer who has designed homes/pieces for Donna Karan, Shakira and Cher, bringing her modern aesthetic to traditional, tropical artisan work.
• Sitting on an acre of land, the home is comprised of seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, a powder room, four kitchens, a 73-foot pool, Jacuzzi, steam room, entertainment theatre room, climate controlled wine room, eight-car gallery and a protected boat dock.
• The dramatic waterfront home, which is the only Miami residential project to have won an Architizer award this year, is the first house designed by the 35-year-old.
