The museum of vintage BMWs was designed by studio Crossboundaries and features plenty of hints to local culture. Layers of draped, red fabric were suspended from the ceiling to refer to Chinese architectural gates and give an imperial feeling.
Glossy walls were cut with horizontal strips of light to reflect the speed of cars, while stainless steel surfaces mirror old BMWs on display. On top of the permanent collection, the museum offers a movie theatre, game room and small exhibition space for temporary displays.
