Brooklyn-based artist Oliver Michaels has digitally reassembled and deconstructed the urban landscape we are used to seeing. In this series of photos, we can see how he uses architectural composites and different parts of buildings from specific areas or routes to project a surreal structural landscape. According to the artist, these new digital visualizations start by taking a series of walks around an area, or a road trip where he gathers images of the surrounding architectural details, then works with the stock images in photoshop to create a sculptural remake of the trip so that the structures reflect the feeling of the places heβs been to.
