Brazilian duo PAR Projetos imagined as a truly sensory experience for the interior of Arauco Restaurant located by the beautiful area of Jardim Canada in Sao Paulo.
The experience was supposed to reflect a dose of unexpectedness. Suspended mirrors offer different perspectives of the interior, a wooden swing allows guests to have a taste of fun while a pink salt countertop adds an unusual touch (literally) to a rather timeless space.
Arauco comprises of a waiting area, lounge, bar and dining space – all mixing space’s original brutalist elements with insets of modern materials such as terrazzo, marble and leather. Modernist furniture add a vintage touch to the restaurant that’s lit up by natural light and made private thanks to lush greenery outside. The architects highlighted Arauco’s links with nature and the environment through thoughtful decor elements such as raw, clay vases and quirky lamps reminiscent of start constellations.
