Through his photo project shared on his Instagram, Turkish architect Yener Torun takes us to rarely seen Istanbul, where the discovery of unusual and colorful architecture that despite what we usually see is yet very present within the city.
The pictures reveals the ultra-colorful aspect of Istanbul’s new architecture and its various geometrical structures and facades. This is a minimalist way it operates what he sees, creating a beautiful contrast between bright colors and geometry. When traveling, architecture is always the first thing that captures your attention. “Architecture gives me what I want: color, geometric patterns, strong lines and shadows games,” he said.
“Being architect helped me to create my style because, except for the color, I use geometry and architectural elements in the compositions.”
