Jozef Ondrik is a young graphic designer from Slovakia. He was born in 1988 in the city of Ruzomberok, where he studied at the School of Applied Arts. He then moved to the Czech Republic to specialize in Graphic Design and Typography. Based in Manchester, the young graphic designer is currently working with Deep Throat Studio, an independent design practice he co-founded, which aims to be a space for collaboration and discussion. As well as creating various printed materials, the studio also runs workshops and presentations on creating better design-based solutions.
Constantly looking for new creative possibilities, Jozef Ondrik juggles type design, art direction and illustration on projects that span an array of functions and media. The designer focuses on printed matter and type specimens. Including posters for exhibitions and cafes, various typographic tests and visual experiments can be found on his site. Sticking largely to a color palette of black and white with splashes of primary hues, Jozef’s approach to graphic design and typography continues to be fresh, vibrant and well-balanced.
