Nik Mirus is a Canadian still-life and conceptual photographer who shoots both editorial and commercial projects for a wide array of national and international clients. Mirus distinguishes himself by his capacity to highlight the very best of his clients’ products and brands through visually relevant and cutting edge imagery.
From cosmetics to fashion accessories and jewelry, Mirus’ understanding of an object’s essence paired with his acute sensibility toward light and composition make for a stimulating new force in the world of still-life photography.
His ability to translate concepts into compelling images has rapidly made him a highly sought after talent by the likes of WIRED Magazine, Frank and Oak, Dress to Kill, ALDO, SSENSE, Air Canada’s enRoute magazine and BonLook.
Mirus’ work has been widely exhibited and he is a two time winner of The Magenta Foundation’s Flash Forward Competition, an annual compendium showcasing the very best of emerging photographers from Canada, the UK and the United-States. As a founding member of Made of Stills, he has been actively involved in the thriving Montreal visual community. Mirus currently lives and works in Montreal.
