Released in September of 2013, thought I’d bring this one back for some of you who haven’t yet heard of the talented Jaymes Young. “Dark Star” is a beautifully written love anthem with a dark and electronic backing that is transcended so perfectly by that sweet melody and hook that Young etches into our minds.

The track is definitely the standout off his debut album entitled Dark Star, which you can check out in it’s entirety here. “Dark Star” also comes with a stripped down version performed live (below) that has quite a different feel but isolates Young’s strength in songwriting and melodic composition quite appropriately.
