Cooperative Designs at London Fashion Week

Cooperative Designs designers, Annalisa Dunn and Dorothee Hagemann met on the MA Fashion course at Central St Martins in London 2007. Both specializing in knitwear their creative take on design uses traditional techniques mixed with new materials and technologies.

Their quirky style has led them to do knits for Hussein Chalayan AW08 and 09 SOAR, SS09 and Henri Bendel SS09. Cooperative Designs have been awarded NEW GENERATION sponsorship by the BFC and have presented their collections with Vauxhall fashion scout for the past 3 seasons. It is this season for the first time, that they are part of the London Fashion Week schedule independently.


Their presentation was 15 looks of knitwear clearly inspired by precise geometry with anarchic detailing of frayed trims and asymmetric hem lines.

Stand-out looks consisted of a knitted cocoon shaped coat in big black and white window pane checks, long black and white striped cardigan, striped harem pants, a black and white check knit dresses. The styling was all about asymmetric layering. Clashing Stripes with checks and Working the black, grey and beige colour palette with hints of colour in stripe format.
