American Design Takes Center Stage @ Witness Apartment [New York]

This month we unveil Open Studio at Witness Apartment featuring objects from Studio Junto, a new designer I discovered at one of Wallplay‘s spaces on Canal, fresh out of design school, as well as New York based Jack Rabbit StudioPat Kim Design and Richard Clarkson Studio showcasing some of their latest designs.  This is the first edition of Open Studios at Witness Apartment established to collaborate with emerging talent and showcase new designs in the context of the Apartment.

Studio Junto
STUDIO JUNTO is an emerging label exploring materiality, purpose, and the human condition.

Jack Rabbit Studio
Brett Miller of Jack Rabbit Studios is concerned with making furniture that feels good. His work has been highlighted in multiple curatorial stories focused on an industrial design trend referred to as chubby furniture. His artistry is based on carving and shaping wood almost to the point where it is taken out of the context of its original form, giving it an emotional presence.

Pat Kim
New York based designer/artist Pat Kim works primarily in objects, furniture, and sculpture. His approach is defined by constant experimentation in materials and methods gleaned from traditional craft. His work is rooted in the philosophy of sculptural simplicity and enduring quality.
