Zachary Zavislak’s Food Photography

When you see Zachary Zavislak’s photographs, chances are that you’ll look twice. Having been featured in internationally recognized publications such as Wallpaper, USGQ, Wired, Details, Marie Claire, and the NYT, it’s apparent this photographer is garnering attention—and with good reason. The subject(s) of each photograph is successfully emphasized and illuminated through the usage of lighting, contrasting colors, and shadows. Each photo is of museum quality as it encourages pondering, and a sense of contemplation in an attempt to draw conclusions about a meaning. What’s more, he somehow manages to naturalize the unusual and absurd through food, and manages to pull it off tastefully!
