In this space full of history, in the middle of the famous Parisian area “Le Marais”, Trendland’s friend Lenny Guerrier, owner of Coincidence Paris combines his knowledge of fashion history, his love for design and his talent to find new designers to collaborate with the Swedish gallery Karlsson & Wickman. Within this new project, Coincidence expands their personal selection of classics and new fashion designers, to include the Karlsson & Wickmans amazing collection of mid-century design furnitures and tribal art.

 

Paris has recently seen its best areas changed with the arrival of new concept stores. Coincidence Paris is one of the key player of this new era and rapidly knew how to find its place by offering a unique and strong identity also an exclusive selection. The fashion and lifestyle collection will be displayed in the basement of the shop, while the design would be presented on the ground floor.

 

Coincidence is more than a shop, it’s a universe, an experience.

ABOUT KARLSSON & WICKMAN

Jon Karlsson and Folke Wickman, art gallery owners based in Stockholm, presents their outstanding collection for Coincidence.
Here you will find a mix of the “classics” like Arne Jacobsen and Josef Frank, with rare pieces by G.A. Berg and Kalle Hedberg, and exclusive ethnographical objects from Africa and Oceania.

 

Welcome to the latest and maybe the best design experience le Marais has to offer. Jon Karlsson was born in Stockholm in 1958. Brought up in an artistic environment, his father being the well-known Swedish painter and collector of tribal art; Igge Karlsson, and his mother a television producer specialized in culture programs.

 

Already as a young child Jon developed an passion for art and ethnographical objects. In his early teens he started dealing with antiques, and at the age of 19 he opened his first antique shop in Stockholm, at the time specializing in Art Deco and Scandinavian functionalism.

In the 90’s, he opens a new gallery dedicated to 20 century design and ethnographical objects. Together with the renowned art dealer Folke Wickman, Jon launched KARLSSON & WICKMAN in 2011.
