A Queen Within Launches in New Orleans Museum of Art

A Queen Within: Adorned Archetypes is an exhibition exploring the archetype of the Queen via contemporary fashion and art.  Developed by Barrett Barrera Projects and MUSEEA, the large-scale exhibition is now available for international touring starting with its first iteration at the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA).

Experimental gowns, headpieces, and jewelry by avant-garde fashion designers Alexander McQueen, Charlie le Mindu, Gypsy Sport, and Iris van Herpen investigate symbols of womanhood and challenge conventional notions of beauty. More than 100 articles of daring fashion and contemporary photography are presented in a dramatic gallery design that explores seven archetypal personality types.
