Melissa Shoes Collabs

Just about to hit stores are the two collaborations that Melissa did with Hometown designer, Alexandre Herchcovitch, and Vivennne Westwood. I have always been kind of on the line with Melissa shoes. I like the concept but I’m very particular about shoes and have never considered buying a pair till now.

Dancing Dreams
The acclaimed designer Alexandre Herchcovitch signs a surprising model for Melissa, once again. After ultra feminine runaway successes Scarfun and Glam, Herchcovitch`s stake for winter 08 is inspired by the masculine footwear. Glam was an absolute success even outside the Brazilian frontiers, running out in a week at the fashion temple of Colette in Paris. With strong influence of androgen looks, Melissa Joy + Alexandre Herchcovitch is a paradox. The girl power is emphasized by a classic male model, which composes any look, giving it an unusual touch. The color chart pursues the line’s daringness. Imagine a masculine classic with the plastic shimmer in colors: black, gold, green, yellow, purple, red and pink. Not even the black and white classic was left out, and Melissa Joy + Alexandre Herchcovitch has its version. Partner of Melissa for four years, Herchcovitch surprises at each launch and winter 08 could not be different, Melissa Joy + Alexandre Herchcovitch launches as a season hit.

Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Mary Jane

Classics in Plastic
For its Winter 08 Collection, Vivienne Westwood has created two models through her Anglomania brand. The classic Mary Jane model, originally made out of leather, and launched in the Winter 00 Collection “Summertime” by Vivienne Westwood, gains its version in plastic.
With a retro inspiration, round beak, high heels and ultrafeminine, Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Mary Jane + Melissa comes in vibrant colors such as red, fuchsia, navy blue, green, besides classic beje, latex, black and white.
