As usual, Phoebe Philo has done it again! The Celine 2013 Resort collection is as über luxurious as it is effortlessly vogue. These designs not only look flawlessly french, but are tailored perfectly for the ladies looking to travel in style. One of the most appealing aspects of the Celine collection has to be the way in which each piece works so well with the next, but could easily be mixed up with the other versatile looks, or basics from your own closet. While Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg may have not be a direct inspiration in the mind of Philo, there is definitely hints of that late 60’s early 70’s tailored yet uncomplicated look, particularly the long blouses and longer wide leg pants, which never fail to remain chic. Though you may not be the first to run out and buy a full on polka dot ensemble, be sure to take a note out of Phoebe Philo’s book and keep things simple and cool this season.
